Crack Dip Recipe

Some of you have recently asked for my crack dip recipe (originally given to me by my friend Wendy) so I thought I’d post it again. Everyone in the world loves it except for my friend Shellie and her friends but I’m pretty sure it’s just because they made it wrong (just kidding, I love you Shellie!).

Here’s what you need:

1 – 9 oz. jar of Archer Farms Habanero and Roasted Pineapple Dip, available at Super Target. It is in the pickle/olive aisle and sometimes it’s hard to find.

2 – 8 oz. bricks of cream cheese (please do not use the fat free crap). The cream cheese should be left out to soften for at least four hours.
1 – 8 oz. bag shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
1/2 of a small red onion, finely diced. Be careful because too much red onion will overpower the dip. You can always add more later.

Here’s what you do:

Mix together cream cheese and habanero dip until combined. Add shredded cheese and diced onion and mix again. Refrigerate for at least one hour so the cream cheese can firm up again.

Serve with Ritz crackers. You can use other crackers but Ritz taste best with the dip.

Enjoy!

  1. This looks really good and I like that it looks super easy to make! I’m all about the easy with cooking.

Loved your book On the Island, by the way. I look forward to Covet when it comes out & I don’t even know what it’s about yet! 🙂

  2. Hey Catwowz,

I love your blogger name. I am so glad you made the crack dip, and that your husband loved it. Score! It sounds like we have a lot in common. That makes me smile 🙂

    All best,

    Tracey

  3. I know I am about 2 years late, but I ran across your blog while looking for a crack dip recipe. Your “30 things about me” was listed next to the recipe. I must say, we have almost everything listed in common (with the exception of having a twin and being a morning person). It might sound silly, but I chose your dip because of it. My husband loved it. Thanks!

  4. Hey I got a mention in the blog. Yeah, even if it is for not liking the dip. I still can’t belive none of my friends liked it. I grow hot peppers so they know how I usually make hot stuff and they like it. Worst of all I love Pineapple. Crazy. We were house shopping in your area last weekend. Told Jason that we couldn’t live by Yeti. He as an old sports car that is really loud. Drives it everyday it isn’t raining during summer. He goes to work at 6:30 ish and we’d both end up in jail for bitch’n out the low class ho for calling cops all the time. :O) —Shellie
