A Tale of Many Reviews blog tour for On the Island – Giveaways! Lots and lots of giveaways!

Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve been on a virtual blog tour this week, hosted by the awesome Julie at
A Tale of Many Reviews. Click on over and enter the drawing for a signed paperback of On the Island. Julie has also included my dream cast post so you can see who I envisioned in the movie version of the book.

I wasn’t sure of the best way to share all the stops with you but finally decided that a link round-up would work best. The bloggers are all doing a giveaway of the book (print or electronic) so head on over, check out their blogs, and enter to win.

These women are a truly fantastic bunch, and I’ve been overwhelmed by all the wonderful things they’ve said about On the Island this week. I’ve mentioned it before but it bears repeating: readers are the game changers in publishing right now and book bloggers are so very important in spreading the word about books they love. On the Island is a word-of-mouth book, and these wonderful bloggers have shouted their love for the book from the virtual rooftops. I am forever in their debt.

Please click on each blog for a chance to win a copy of On the Island.

  1. Just finished On the Island! LOVED LOVED this book! And I love the characters except I envision Anna to be blond! 🙂 Looking forward to reading your next book!

  2. Tracy, Wendy passed this info about your book(s) on to me (“The Craft Club). I am so proud of you. Best story I’ve read in a very long time. Have passed this onto all my fellow “Kindle” friends, and then some. Keep up the good work!

  3. I am now sleepless south of Seattle thanks to your wonderful story on my Nook! What an incredible, speedy read “On the Island” is. I can not wait to see what you come up with next. You have a new fan.

  4. Tracey,

I have read some wonderful books but there are a select few that I can chew through in an afternoon! Your story was so refreshing and warm. I’ll look forward to your future books!! Please consider coming to Connecticut for a booksigning!

    Warm regards,

    Brittany

  5. I just finished reading On the Island. What a wonderful read! I am home recovering from a severe neck injury and thanks to Amazon and the light, portable Kindle I have read some great books. Can’t wait til your next one.

  6. Absolutely love your book. Can’t put it down. Hope you will be writing more. Love your style !!!

  7. I just finished reading your book last night and it is so amazingly cool to be able to thank the author for a fantastic read. If have one criticism is that it ended – I could have kept reading and reading and reading. The characters and their situation was completely believable to me. I would love to see a movie version.

Please keep writing as I would love to read more by you.

    Thanks
    Cheryl

  8. Loved the story line and the characters! Congratulations on the success! So inspired that I blogged for the first time in 2 years today and am spreading the word for you! Keep up the good work!!

  9. Wow.

Just finished the book today (ordered it on my Kindle last night– it helps I had a child sick at home today so I could read it!). Loved it. Just awesome. I didn’t want it to end.

The characters were wonderful and I loved how you really delved into life on the island as well as their ‘new’ life back on land. So good.

I’ll be telling everyone about it at my Bunco club tonight. 🙂 I can’t wait until your next book comes out.

  10. I was looking for a good yet cheerful read after so many really sad bks and came upon yours also for kindle. I read a couple of reviews and decided to go for it. I LOVE it! Love the fact that we get right to it, also love that we can see the relationship blossom. Love the fact that we get to feel the struggles of their readjusting to life but most of all that we get to see that love can overcome. Thank you. I bought my copy on Monday it’s now Thursday morning and I have read it twice! I needed something like this. And of course I will recommend it to everyone I know.

  11. I am a 64 going on 65 year old female and have never enjoyed a book more than “On The Island” I have told all of my children (I have four daughters all in their 30s), siblings and every female at work about this book. My sister purchased it and called me the next day to tell me how much she enjoyed it. I doubt she got much sleep. I look forward to the next book. Although I have never preordered a book I will get this next one. Thanks for such a great story.

  12. Thank you for such a lovely story. I truly fell in love with Anna and TJ. I can’t even express how much I loved your book. I can’t wait for your next book 😉

  13. As some of the others before me I also found “On the Island” through the best sellers list on my kindle. The storyline intrigued me but the digital price sold it. The writing was so good and brought to life. I enjoyed it so much that the characters from the book were in my dreams last night. Such a touching story! Can’t wait for more. Recommended it to all my friends and family. I have been looking for a new author lately to follow as I wait on my other favorite authors to publish new books and I know 100% that I have finally found a great one. I look forward to many more great reads as you take the world by storm!

  14. Tracey,

Congratulations to you for writing such a spendid story! I read it in one day and could not put it down. I haven’t had that experience in a very long time. Thank you!

I applaud you for your self-publishing efforts. I am a new author in progress and appreciate all the work and guts it took to put yourself out there.

I am a part of a wonderful, supportive online writing community. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. It’s called WANA, which stands for “We Are Not Alone.” (Twitter #MYWANA) There are authors from all over the world. Have you ever heard of Kristen Lamb? She is a social media guru and has built this community of writers over the last few years. I encourage you to check it out. I know it would help your books go viral. I wanted to tell you about this because it works! Check out her website at http://www.warriorwriters.wordpress.com/

    Best Wishes!

  15. Also found your book via Kindle and read it during my long weekend in Vegas. Loved the book … and it probably also saved me buckets of money!

  16. Absolutely loved the book. Happened to find it randomly on my kindle best sellers list and I’m so glad I did.

  17. I absolutely loved your book. I couldn’t put my kindle down. I laughed, cried and even made me love my husband more. It was peffect. Iread some reviews saying that they wished the second half of the book was more interesting. I completly disagree. I was just as captured when they came as I was when they were on the island. Thanks for the entertainment.

  19. I literally just finished the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to see it on the big screen or even a TV drama and think a storyline like this would translate quite well.

Thank you for writing such a poignant and thoughtful story. I believe I will be thinking about Anna and TJ for sometime to come which is indeed a testimony to your writing skills. You brought them alive and transported us to their world in such a way that will leave a lasting impression.

Thank you again and good luck to you in all your future endeavors!

    1. Hi Terri,

Thank you for such positive feedback! I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed On the Island. It’s nice to know that thoughts of Anna and T.J. will stay with you 🙂

      Best,

      Tracey

  20. Hi Greytop,

Thank you!! I’m so glad you took a chance on a book that was outside your preferred genre. I think it’s awesome that you liked Anna and T.J’s story 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it!

    Best,

    Tracey

  21. All I have to say is that for a guy reading his first “romance novel”? I’d have to say that I loved it. I definitely didn’t think I would. Especially coming from reading books like “the hunger games”, “the sword of truth” series, and “the wheel of time” series. Yes, I know……odd jump but someone mentioned the book in passing and I saw surprisingly good reviews and bought it. So, in the end of rambling. Thank you for writing a damn good book.

  22. Hi Elise,

Thank you!! I’m so glad you enjoyed Anna and T.J.’s story. I also really appreciate that you recommended it to your co-worker. Please tell her I said thank you, too.

I did a blog post a while back and I had to list my dream cast. I chose Taylor Kitsch from Friday Night Lights for T.J. and Anne Hathaway for Anna (even though she doesn’t have blue eyes). I chose John Goodman for Mick the seaplane pilot. Rachel McAdams and Zac Efron would also be perfect!! I love that you and your co-worker like to cast the books you read. So fun.

I will post upcoming book news on this blog and will hold some fun giveaways as I get closer to the release of Covet which will be available this fall.

Thanks for your nice comments and for stopping by!

    Best,

    Tracey

  23. Tracey,

I am so happy I read your book. I really thought the story wasn’t my style, but because of all the great reviews I caved and went for it. It’s been 2 weeks and I can’t stop thinking about it. I got a co-worker to read it and she also loved it and we just keep going back to the story and reliving it.

We also try to cast all the books we read and our choices for Anna and TJ were Rachel McAdams and Zac Efron.

I can’t wait for your next book, I’ll get it as soon as it’s ready for pre-order!

    Elise

  24. I read a review of your book on Good Reads and was intrigued. I went to the mall this weekend and checked if it was available at Barnes and Nobles and discovered it was only available electronically. Then today I search for you again, your profile comes up and I find that you are from Des Moines! I was at Jordan Creek B&N when I was looking for your book. I’m from Lamoni (about an hour south). Can’t wait to read a local author. Is your book available as a paperback locally?

    Julie

  25. Tracey,
I just read your comment on my blog and was laughing at you running into my sister! What are the chances?!?! Too funny! Thanks for reading and taking a moment to comment! And also thanks for letting me know my profile isn’t up to date so to speak! I updated it w/ my contact info. Take care!
    Kellie
